GUtech is committed to supporting our students, so we offer a range of full and partial scholarships thanks to our strong industry links and support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and other organisations. For the academic year 2010-2011, these scholarships are available through the Higher Education Admission Centre (HEAC):

  • GUtech scholarships

The GUtech scholarships are available to all Omani students who satisfy the scholarships requirements as announced by HEAC. These scholarships appear under these codes:

SI 003: Full scholarships for admission into the Foundation Programme leading to a Bachelor of Science in Applied Information Technology.

SI 004: Full scholarships for admission into the Foundation Programme leading to a Bachelor of Science in Regional Management and Tourism.

  • PDO scholarships

PDO scholarships are available to all Omani students who have scored 'B' in Pure Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English and seeking admission into GUtech's Foundation Programme leading to a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geosciences. The code of the PDO scholarships is SI 023.

  • DAAD scholarships 

The DAAD scholarships are intended to promote German Education here in Oman. the DAAD scholarships are available to applicants seeking admission into GUtech's Foundation Programme leading to a Bachelor of Science in Regional Management and Tourism. The code of the DAAD scholarships is SI022.

  • Internal Scholarships

These scholarships are offered by the Ministry of Higher Education to low-income and social welfare students. The code of these scholarships are:

SP660/SF660: Scholarships for admission into the Foundation Programme leading to a Bachelor of Science in Applied Information Technology.

SP661/SF661: Scholarships for admission into the Foundation Programme leading to a Bachelor of Science in Regional Management and Tourism.

To qualify for one of these scholarships, all applicants through HEAC will have to sit for examinations in either Mathematics and English or Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and English.
