The BSc in Computer Science (CS) is a four year programme with a major in computer science and a minor in information systems. A minimum number of 240 credit points must be earned in 25 core courses, seven elective courses, six language and cultural skills courses, an internship, and a bachelor thesis. The programme offers a strong foundation in theoretical and practical computer science and its applications in business. Emphasis is placed on the interaction of informatics and engineering, communication and technology, and culture including a solid understanding of the business context. Furthermore, we expect from our graduates to be fluent in English and to have a basic knowledge of German.
The BSc in Cyber Security (CYS) is a four year programme. A minimum number of 240 credit points must be earned in 25 core courses, seven elective courses, six language and cultural skills courses, an internship, and a bachelor thesis. The programme offers a strong foundation in theoretical and practical computer science and its applications in business. Emphasis is placed on cyber security topics which cover 8 knowledge areas: data, software, component, connection, human, organisation, and societal. In addition to basic security concepts, students will be exposed to focused courses which cover the basics of each knowledge area. Furthermore, we expect from our graduates to be fluent in English and to have a basic knowledge of German.
The BSc in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a four year programme. A minimum number of 240 credit points must be earned in 25 core courses, seven elective courses, six language and cultural skills courses, an internship, and a bachelor thesis. The programme offers a strong foundation in theoretical and practical computer science and its applications in business. Emphasis is placed on artificial intelligence topics. In addition to basic AI concepts, students will be exposed to the main sub areas of AI such as Machine Learning, Cognition, and Autonomous Systems. Furthermore, we expect from our graduates to be fluent in English and to have a basic knowledge of German.
The Master of Science in Computer Science, is a 2-year programme, provides you a comprehensive curriculum consisting of academic and applied knowledge of CS and IT technology management and emerging technologies in large data processing and analysis. You will have the flexibility to specialise in ‘Data Science’ or ‘Technology Management’, while gaining a broad basis in Computer Science with a concrete foundation in the innovation, application and management of computer science applications across a range of disciplines. You will receive international teaching with faculty members from GUtech, RWTH Aachen University as well as several other European universities.
