GUtech Signs MoU with Sultan Qaboos Police Academy

The Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences and the German University of Technology in Oman have launched a strategic academic cooperation program, representing an advanced partnership between educational institutions and the public and private sectors. The program aims to empower Omani youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead the future, in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to build a sustainable knowledge-based economy, a learning society, and a sophisticated institutional framework.

This collaboration comes within the context of both institutions’ efforts to enhance the higher education system in the Sultanate, focusing on vital technological fields including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and sustainable energy technologies. It aims to prepare national cadres capable of addressing future challenges, supporting digital transformation, and promoting the development of smart cities, industry, and healthcare sectors. The program also emphasizes joint research, specialized training programs, and the provision of a practical learning environment that enables students to translate theoretical knowledge into practical projects and innovative solutions that support sustainability, quality, and excellence.

In this regard, Dr. Hussein bin Sulaiman Al Salmi, Vice President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating:
