GUtech Promotes Sustainability by Providing Free Drinking Water on Campus
The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) continues to show its commitment to sustainability and community wellbeing by providing free access to clean drinking water for all students, staff, and visitors.GUtech has a Reverse Osmosis Plant delivering High-Quality Drinking Water Across Campus.
Across the campus, 24 water fountains have been installed to encourage the use of refillable bottles and reduce single-use plastic waste. Each station tracks the number of bottles refilled, highlighting GUtech’s ongoing efforts to minimize environmental impact through practical, everyday actions.
This initiative supports the university’s wider sustainability goals by promoting responsible water consumption, reducing plastic pollution, and fostering a healthier and more eco-friendly campus environment.
