GUtech and the Muscat Stock Exchange signed a cooperation agreement to advance joint education, research, and sustainability efforts, supporting Oman’s vision for a diversified economy.
Environmental Engineering students proudly showcased their innovative project, EcoFlow, at the National Young Professionals Committee booth, highlighting their commitment to sustainable solutions and youth-led environmental innovation.
Dr. Yasmine Souissi, Associate Deputy Rector for Research and Innovation, took part in a panel discussion organized by MSX on “The role of higher education in advancing sustainability”. She addressed the challenges in updating curricula to reflect sustainability principles. She also presented ongoing research projects at GUtech addressing Oman’s sustainability challenges, including carbon capture, hydrogen projects, water scarcity, renewable energy, and circular economy.
Environmental Engineering Level 3 students explored real-world solutions during a field trip to Oman Sustainability Week 2025, as part of their Integrated Water Resources Management course. The experience enabled them to engage with sustainable practices, discuss environmental challenges, and gain insights from experts in the field, deepening their understanding of water.
