Department of Applied Geoscience Represents GUtech at National Mining Exhibition

The Department of Applied Geoscience represented the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) at the Mining Introductory Exhibition, held in Wilayat Mahdha on 9–10 December, under the theme From Oman’s Rocks… We Build the Future.

Organized by Oman Chromite Company (S.A.O.G) under official patronage, the exhibition was attended by the Governor of Al Buraimi, the Wali of Mahdha, and senior officials from the Ministry of Energy and Minerals.

The event showcased recent advancements in mineral exploration, including geological surveys, geophysical methods, and remote-sensing technologies, while emphasizing the sector’s contribution to sustainable development and Oman Vision 2040
