Geophysical imaging and structural analysis of the Qarat Kibrit Salt Dome in central Oman, assessing subsurface architecture and storage potential — MoHERI Block Funding Project (2024) under the AGEO Department

This study uses advanced geophysical technique including electromagnetic, magnetic, and conductivity surveys to image subsurface structures in Oman. Focusing on the Qarat Kibrit Salt Dome in central Oman, the research evaluates subsurface storage potential and applies magnetotelluric (MT) methods to better understand the dome’s geometry and geological evolution. The project supports improved resource assessment and subsurface mapping in the region.
