GUtech Joins Green Hydrogen Sharing Session in Duqm

GUtech was delighted to take part in a Green Hydrogen Sharing Session hosted by the Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm (SEZAD). The university was represented by Dr. Osman Barghouth, Director of the Master of Hydrogen Economy and Technology programme, and Ms. Marya Al Balushi, Graduate School Manager.

During the session, titled “Academic & Talent Development for the Hydrogen Industry (GUtech)”, our team introduced the Master of Hydrogen Economy and Technology programme, highlighted key research activities, and shared ongoing initiatives at the Oman Hydrogen Centre.

The visit also included tours of the Port of Duqm, the Green Hydrogen and Chemicals Company SAOC (GHC), and Jindal Steel Duqm, where the team explored major industrial developments supporting Oman’s growing hydrogen sector.
GUtech extends its appreciation to SEZAD, Port of Duqm, Jindal Steel, and GHC for their valuable engagement and collaboration.

Applications for the Master of Hydrogen Economy and Technology programme are now open for professionals and graduates aiming to support Oman’s green energy transition.
