In alignment with Oman Vision 2040, the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) and Oman LNG (OLNG) have been collaborating on the project titled “Green Hydrogen Transportation in Existing Natural Gas Pipelines in Oman”. The project is led by Prof. Najah Al Mhanna, the Principal Investigator at GUtech.

Engineer Rayyan Al Ajmi, Research Assistant on the project, presented the findings of the “Techno-Economic Analysis of Transporting Natural Gas-Hydrogen Blends” at ADIPEC 2025 in Abu Dhabi, recognized as the world’s largest gathering for the energy industry. The results demonstrate the feasibility of transporting hydrogen within existing natural gas pipelines.
