At GUtech, we do our best to offer financial assistance and scholarships for qualified students to get the best education they deserve.
High achieving and bright students are encouraged to apply for scholarships. We offer a wide range of scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as work-study opportunities for undergraduate students.
Scholarships
GUtech is committed to making our undergraduate and graduate programmes accessible by offering a variety of scholarship opportunities to eligible students. Undergraduate applicants can apply for a range of scholarships that are either funded or administered by GUtech.
Online application forms for scholarships will only be active when we are accepting applications. Online applications for undergraduate scholarships are due by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the deadline.

Saudi Arabia Scholarships
Have you done your schooling in Saudi Arabia?
Get scholarships to study for undergraduate programmes at GUtech.
We are delighted to offer ten (10) partial (50%) and (2) full (100%) scholarships for students who have done their schooling in Saudi Arabia.
Scholarships are available for new applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for direct admission to one of our undergraduate programmes.
If you have not already applied, it is time to apply for admission at GUtech. You will not be able to apply for this scholarship without an application ID that you get upon completing your online application for admission.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for scholarships:
- You must be a new applicant for an undergraduate programme at GUtech
- You must have scored at least 85% in your overall grade 12 certificate with at least 85% in Mathematics.
- You must have IELTS 6.0.
- You must qualify for direct admission to GUtech Bachelor programmes
- You must have applied online for admission (you will need the application ID for applying to this scholarship)
- You must be a self-funded applicant and not in receipt of any other scholarship.

Alumni Scholarships
The Alumni Scholarship is available to all GUtech alumni, local and international, who want to enroll for further studies in one of GUtech’s Master’s degree programmes.
The 50% scholarship applies towards the total tuition fees, for the entire duration of the programme.
Sch0larships are awarded to successful applicants who complete the application process by or on the application deadline. No partial or late application will be considered will be considered.
International Student Scholarship
Highly qualified international applicants can apply for a GUtech International Student Scholarship of up to 20% of the tuition fees.
Eligibility Requirements
Non-Omani citizens, both residing in and outside Oman, who have received unconditional admission to GUtech are eligible. Students who already receive a major scholarship from a Ministry, DAAD, employer or any other funding source should discuss their eligibility with the International Office Manager.
Bachelor students in good standing enrolled full-time from academic year 2018/19 onward are eligible to apply. The award is limited to the regular course of study on a Bachelor programme (8 semesters) and not available for foundation programme students.
Conditions of the scholarship
The award is non-transferrable and will be adjusted against tuition only. It cannot be disbursed as cash. The recipient is responsible for payment of the remaining tuition not covered by this grant. It is subject to renewal annually, provided the conditions listed below are met:
1. Recipients must register and maintain full-time status each semester
2. Students must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (cGPA)
a) Students dropping below a cGPA of 2.5 for one year lose their scholarship
b) Students may reapply for the scholarship once they raise their cGPA above 2.5 again
3. Students must remain in good standing (e.g. no financial holds, attendance warnings, or violations of the university’s code of conduct)
4. The scholarship is awarded only for the programme of study for which the student was first accepted. Students who wish to change programme of study will have to reapply for a scholarship.
Application procedure
Please complete the GUtech International Student Scholarship online application by the following deadlines:
For Winter Semester: 15 September
For Spring Semester: 15 February
It can take up to 4 weeks to assess the application and all the relevant evidence. If successful, you will be sent a letter stating the amount of financial support granted.
The students should be committed to pay the full fees, and in case the student paid the full fees before the decision has been made about the application, a refund for the discounted fees amount should be refunded/credited to the student account. The student is responsible to pay the full fees in case the application is not successful.
Undergraduate Excellence Full Scholarship
Undergraduate Excellence Full Scholarship for the Winter Semester Intake Only
GUtech offers ten (10) Undergraduate Excellence Full Scholarships to high achieving high school students from all nationalities.
The Undergraduate Excellence Full Scholarships are extremely competitive, worth 100% of the tuition fee of an undergraduate degree programme.
The scholarship is available for new students who meet the eligibility criteria for direct admission to one of our undergraduate programmes.

- You must be a self-funded applicant and not in receipt of any other scholarship.

Undergraduate Merit Partial Scholarship
The Undergraduate Merit Partial Scholarship for Winter Semester Intake Only
We are delighted to offer twenty (20) Undergraduate Merit Partial Scholarships to high achieving high school students from all nationalities.
The Undergraduate Merit Partial Scholarships are competitive worth 50% of the tuition fee of an undergraduate degree programme starting in winter semester 2022. The scholarship is available for new students from all nationalities who meet the eligibility criteria for direct admission to one of our undergraduate programmes.
If you have not already applied, it is time to apply for admission at GUtech. You will not be able to apply for this scholarship without an application ID that you get upon completing your online application for admission.
You can also apply for other scholarships, but you will receive only one. You will not be able to combine the Undergraduate Merit Partial Scholarship with any other GUtech awarded scholarships.

DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Scholarships
Excellent self-funded GUtech students can apply for a partial tuition DAAD Sur Place-Scholarship after their first year of enrolment in the Bachelor programme. These scholarships are awarded by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) with funding from the German Federal Foreign Office and cover about 50% of tuition fees. You can combine this scholarship with an International Student Scholarship, but you will need to apply for each individually by their specific deadlines.
GUtech students can also benefit from DAAD scholarships to attend language and specialty courses in Germany, travel to Germany for a mandatory internship, write their Bachelor thesis at GUtech’s partner institution RWTH Aachen University, or complete a Master’s programme in Germany.

Preferred Partners Programme - Graduate Scholarship Programme
Preferred Partners Programme
The Preferred Partners Programme (PPP) is a scholarship scheme extended by GUtech to companies, ministries, and different organisations seeking to support the educational needs of their employees.
PPP is available to employees applying directly to GUtech or being designated by their respective organisations to join a specific Master degree programme at GUtech.
The scholarship scheme consists of:
- Up to 30% scholarship of tuition fee waiver applicable to individual employees designated by their respective employer to join any eligible master programme.
- Up to 50% scholarship of tuition fee waiver per employee, applicable to 3 employees or more from the same organisations, joining any of the Master programmes in the same intake.
PPP Scholarship Eligibility
- You must qualify for admission and be accepted to a Master programme at GUtech
- A ‘PPP’ agreement will have to be concluded with your employer before seeking to benefit from the PPP scholarship
- You must obtain a letter each semester from your company’s human resources office indicating your employment status, and as a benefit-eligible employee. The letter should also be submitted to Admission Office prior to your first semester at GUtech.
