Muscat, Oman – The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) recently celebrated the academic achievements of its outstanding students at a special Dean’s List Award Ceremony held on Tuesday, 5 November 2024.
The ceremony, attended by proud parents, friends, and faculty, honoured a select group of students who demonstrated exceptional academic performance during the Spring Semester of 2024. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must meet rigorous academic standards, including:
- A minimum semester GPA of 3.5
- Ranking in the top 10% of their programme level
- Registration for at least 25 credit points in percentage-graded courses
- No incomplete or failing grades
- No disciplinary actions
- Achievement of an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent
The award recipients, representing various academic disciplines, were honoured by the deans of their respective faculties:
- Faculty of Sciences: 48 students
- Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science: 135 students
- Faculty of Urban Planning and Architectural Design (UPAD): 43 students
- Faculty of Business and Economics: 99 students
