GUtech Celebrates Student Success at ‘Qimam’ Hackathon

The German University of Technology in Oman congratulate Alaa Al Khalili, Arwa Al Bahri, and Shahad Al Maawali, Environmental Engineering students on their successful completion of the ‘Qimam’ Hackathon.
This national initiative, organized by ‘Together Forward’ in collaboration with the Oman Investment Authority, aligns with Oman’s Vision 2040 by supporting youth in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Over 5 days of intensive workshops, the team tackled challenges in the wastewater treatment industry, refining their solutions and connecting their ideas to companies within the Authority’s network.
More than 50 teams qualified for the second phase of the competition, competing at a national level, and showcasing the talent and creativity from across Oman.
As part of this, GUtech team was among 21 selected to continue developing their projects, marking a significant step in their journey.
